The village of Bouriège has 142 inhabitants and is divided in three parts- Haut Village, Tessionier and Sous Rive. Our two Auberge’s and the artist studio are all located in Sous Rive on Rue de La Poste

Bouriège has a village school, hall, local post office and church which is open for holidays, weddings and funerals.  A bread lady comes to the village 6 days a week selling baguettes and croissants.  The butcher comes by twice a week and a little grocery van once a week.  Listen out for the horns that announce their arrival.

We have a lawned garden planted with roses and fruit trees by the village stream  with  a garden table and chairs, badminton net and croquet, garden bench and the all important hammock. Further down the village is the communal ping pong table and next to the village hall our vegetable garden.

10 minutes walk outside of Bouriège is an orchard planted with peaches, apples, pears, walnuts, plums and cherries.
